Yes. I specialize in medication management for mental health and work with clients who already have a therapist, or who prefer a medication-only approach. If you have a therapist I will collaborate with them in your care. I also suggest my clients have an ongoing relationship with a primary care physician and get a physical exam and laboratory studies once a year if on psychiatric medications.

I currently work with adults ages 18-65. I do not see children or geriatric patients at this time.

Yes, I am an in-network psychiatrist with Cigna and CareFirst in Maryland. I do not accept other insurance plans at this time. If you are out-of-network, I can provide a detailed receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement of psychiatric services.

I offer both short-term and long-term psychiatric care, depending on your needs. For clients receiving medication management, I typically recommend staying on medication for at least one year after symptoms improve. We'll review your treatment annually to determine if your current medications are still appropriate. During the stabilization period, monthly follow-up appointments are common. Once stable, most clients are seen every three months for ongoing medication management sessions (20-30 minutes each session).

I will see a couple or family in consultation to an individual treatment, but generally my work is 1:1.

I do not prescribe alternative psychiatric medications, but I take a holistic, integrative approach to care. When appropriate, I offer Genesight pharmacogenetic testing, which helps determine how your genes may affect your response to psychiatric mediations. This can guide more personalized and effective treatment choices.

I also incorporate mind-body techniques for symptom relief and may refer clients to trusted providers, such as an integrative nutritionist who views food as medicine and can recommend complementary therapies to support mental health.
